Requirements:
Degree in Engineering relevant to the workscope.
Chief Engineer experience.
With a minimum 8-10 years of managerial experience in a similar assets management role.
Required Competences:
Strong technical, financial & business analysis.
Project and procurement process management.
Naval engineering & construction codes standards and best practices.
Full understanding of regulatory and statutory requirements.
Able to work independently of solve problems and identify new opportunities in a harsh environmental area with challenging difficulties.
Excellent communication skills:
Able to interface with people at all levels of the business and differing cultural backgrounds.
Able to make effective presentations.
Able to write well structured, concise and well reasoned reports and documents.
Responsibilities:
Technical and Economical operation of Company's Marine fleet and marine assets integrity.
Implementation and control of the Safety Management System (SMS).
Specifying new build or new hired vessels requirements to meet the business requirements.
Provision of Design and Engineering knowledge for new tonnage (charter or new build).
Procurement of new tonnage (charter or new build) to support Company Offshore operations.
Provision of Technical/Contractual Administrations.
Technical control for all Company marine assets.
Insurance coverage for Company marine assets, owned and chartered as well as for their involvement in specific marine operations not included in ordinary coverage.
Marine Permits and licences.
Maritime instructions and guidelines.
Implementation and maintenance of compliance with RoK marine laws and rules.
Monitoring vessels technical and operational performances and implementation of the Continual Improvement Process.
Plan and carry out company’s technical periodicals inspections and site surveys.
Ensuring the vetting and auditing of new hired vessels.
Provision of repair surveys, dry-docking, repair /modification works, shipyard works Supervision.
Surveys during constructions and commissioning of new tonnage.
Acceptance tests after dry-docking , major maintenance works and new tonnage (charter or new build).
Prepare ITT documentation and perform technical evaluations of the results.
