Major Functional Responsibilities:

Direct and supervise the activities of all personnel on the rig 
Ensure safe working conditions by enforcing all safety policies and procedures, properly maintaining rig equipment in a safe condition, and instructing personnel in safe work practices.
Schedule and direct all operational activities in coordination with customer representative according to previously established drilling program and accepted drilling practices.
Assist and advise driller in technical aspects of job and in solving minor operational problems. Seek assistance and guidance of superiors in solution of major problems such as kicks, blowouts, downhole conditions requiring changes in operations, severe circulation loss, etc.
Ensure all well control equipment is properly installed and tested to operator’s specifications and operational at all times during the drilling of the well.
Maintain daily reports of operational activities, keeping division management advised.
Maintain time and other pertinent records on all personnel assigned to rig.
Follow scheduled preventative and routine maintenance program to assure drilling equipment is maintained without unnecessary interruption of drilling operations.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in a manner that promotes good teamwork and utilizes skills and experience of employees to the best advantage.
Train or assist in training rig employees in operational and safety issues in order to improve rig performance.
Conduct prep works before setting up rig.
Manage setting up & taking down of the rigs.
Perform Rig Orientations with new rig employees to teach them company operational and safety policies and procedures.
Maintain favorable relations with the customer and service company representatives. 
Insure rig’s profitability by managing controllable costs such as supplies, fuel, labor, and repairs.
Other duties as assigned.
Be able to work agreed shift schedule. On occasion, be able to work additional hours when called upon.
Be trained and have current certification in Well control Procedures.

Requirements:

High technical degree with min 5 yeas of experience in Supervisory role

IWCF well drilling/well intervention certification level 4

English Language (min intermediate level)
