Job Accountabilities:
Generate and review realistic subsurface evaluations for development planning purposes through effective integration of multiple subsurface datasets and geological concepts.
Perform integrated subsurface interpretation in support of field development planning, well planning, well drilling, and post-drill analysis including seismic data (3D interpretation, well -ties, basic time-to-depth conversion,
understanding of seismic classes, etc.), well log data, core, subsurface mapping and production data.
Provide geoscience support for development planning-related Regulatory/ Permitting documentation needs.
Contribute to the development of pre-drill well proposal documentation and post-drill well results documentation as required by RoK authorities.
Represent geoscience aspects of NCSPSA field development evaluation and planning to various RoK regulatory and permitting authorities, as appropriate.
Support Technical regulatory in the compilation and distribution of field reports (e.g., TEOKIS, well reports, study results) to appropriate parties in a timely fashion.
Carry out other tasks as instructed by immediate supervisor within assigned area of responsibility and professional qualification.
Contributing to the development of team members; promoting active learning and mentoring within and acros steams.
Fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Appoints Geoscience TA-2 and TA-3 and responsible for defining and assessing competencies of Geoscience staff in their discipline
Participate in technical and compliance verification exercises
Where applicable acts as Geoscience Job Family or Sub Family Job owner.
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
University Degree in Geology or Geophysics
A minimum 15 years of relevant experience is expected.
10+ years of professional work experience in oil and gas operations (subsurface)
Drilling Operations experience
Mentoring experience
Required Competences:
Mastery in integrated Geoscience interpretation skills (well and seismic-based)
Skill in field development planning
Skill in carbonate/clastic reservoir geology
Knowledge in Petrophysics / Petrophysical evaluation
Working knowledge of reservoir engineering concepts
Working knowledge of conventional core acquisition and description
Familiarity with wireline and LWD logging techniques and interpretation
Ability to generate pre-drill and post-drill analyses and documentation
Elevated Workstation proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Effective communication skills, including a good command of the English language.
