Requirements:

 University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
 Minimum of 6-8 years discipline experience with a at least 5 years’ experience in complex onshore and/or offshore oil and gas projects; Front End Engineering, Detailed Design and support to Construction and Commissioning.
 A previous similar company role, especially in interfacing with main Contractors.
 Familiarity with all major vendors of mechanical equipment and process plant equipment.
 Strong history of working with other related disciplines.
 Experience in design and operation of high H2S content facilities with stringent requirements in terms of HSE.
 Experience in Former Soviet Union and/or Caspian Area would be an advantage.

 Good technical, interpersonal and team-working skills.
 Proactive approach to decisional process (in the pertinent discipline).
 Need to be self-motivated, set targets.
 Ability to work in team environments-communicate, understand and work within the dynamics of a multifunctional and multi-location environment.
 Working knowledge of all relevant discipline codes and standards.
 Capable of working on multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure conditions.
 Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities:

 To be part of a team of discipline Engineers located at Atyrau offices during the execution of Feed and detailed design for active projects.
 Provide technical expertise and support for procurement, construction and commissioning, ensuring the quality and cost control of the works according to the contracts requirements.
 Provide technical input and direction, in line with project requirements, to various EP/EPC, Engineering Contractors as a part of the Design Integrity process for the facilities.
 Ensure a smooth and effective transfer of data and information between Contractors and from the Contractor to Company.
 Support in processing, from the technical point of view, Project Change Notices (PCNs), Technical queries, Concession requests, Claims and IVB (third party Integrity Verification Body) queries.
 Revise, check and approve the design documentation received by contractors and vendors;
 Continue to lead the identification, creation, and adoption of appropriate mechanical engineering standards, with appropriate consideration of Kazakhstan national standards and norms. Ensure that the intentions identified through the Conceptual and FEED phases are maintained.
 Continue to identify and assess the technology and systems to allow improvements and facilitate design and operability of large-scale field development projects.
 Advise on mechanical equipment standardization, availability, and sparing philosophies.
 Undertake technical integrity and HSE reviews/audits, and participate in process safety management.
 Provide technical support and expertise for the handover and startup of the plant in liaison with Start Up and Operation Team.
 Attend site technical Audits and investigations.
 Attend /participate /evaluate the tender for various package units/plant facilities/expansion etc.
 Coordinate with respective lead engineers of other disciplines for department activities.
 Be proactive in the process of closeout of Project punch list, TQs, IVB findings in coordination with other discipline
leaders.
