Requirements:
- Level I
- Bachelor in Engineering degree and 5 years relevant engineering, maintenance and/or operations experience.
- Field experience gathered from any of the following are recommended:
- Oil & gas facilities;
- Process industry;
- Refinery ;
- Chemical and Petrochemical Plants;
- Engineering contractors; or,
- Applicable PACO equipment vendors.
- Aware of complexities associated with the processing of high pressure and high H2S production streams;
- Knowledgeable in International engineering standards and best practices as applicable to the discipline.
- Design, operating principles and specifications of control and automation equipment.
- Control and Automation equipment installation, adjustment, modification, maintenance and repair methods.
- Knowledge of Control and Automation engineering including control systems and basic instrumentation.
- Skill in use of SAP Blueprint Preventative Maintenance, Maintenance and Integrity Measures dashboard and SAP BW reporting for process plant maintenance.
- Knowledge of SAP Maintenance Management.
- Proven communication, teaching, coaching and facilitating capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
- A completer/finisher delivering against targets and deadlines.

- Experience of managing change.
- Good fluency in spoken and written English.
- Working knowledge of Asset Maintenance & Integrity standards and practices, e.g. an Operations Maintenance.
- Professional with EP and/or Refinery/LNG plant experience.
- At least 4 years C&A experience in either engineering or maintenance, and higher professional education level.
Required Competences:
The job holder must have:
- Fluent spoken and written English language;
- Command of Russian language would be beneficial;
- Basic HSSE Skills with a commitment to safety; familiar with the RAM Matrix and the application of ALARP.
- Knowledge of the asset Management of Change (MoC) and Control, Automation, Instrumentation, Metering (CAIM) change procedures;

Responsibilities:
- This position has primary responsibility for Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) system, monitoring, maintenance, integrity, troubleshooting, and recovery in both engineering and lifecycle support phases. This includes the DCS system, the safety system including fire, gas, and smoke, the SCADA system, controllers (e.g. PLCs) associated with third party equipment, Leak Detection Systems, and other systems as present in the assets.
- This role also includes close collaboration with the Process Control engineer(s) in the design and implementation of control strategies in the base layer (including advanced control as required).
Engineering:
- Represents the PACO discipline as a Technical Authority Level 3.
- Is responsible for some control aspects of the ORP phases (Identify, Assess, Select, Define, Execute).
- Participates in HAZOPS, Safety Integrity Level Analysis (SILA), Risk Assessments and other safety reviews;
- Supports the design, engineering, construction and commissioning of modifications and projects to appropriate technical and RoK standards.
- Ensures high quality critical as-built documents and drawings related to the discipline for Company assets and for all projects including the creation of work packs
- Undertakes tasks and projects of lower complexity with limited supervision; defines the scope of work for services related to PACO projects, with some guidance.
- Provides advice on procedural and technical issues relating to immediate work area;
- Participates in Process Safety incident investigations related to discipline;
- Promotes Process Safety and shares learning’s from Process Safety incidents across the organization.
- Contributes new ideas and identifies opportunities to improve work area goals and objectives.
- Visits Company onshore and offshore facilities to build a strong relationship.
- Develops effective working relationships across disciplines and customers.
- Acts as role model to promote strong service culture.
- Provide technical assistance in implementation of new projects with respect to installation, troubleshooting and start-up of equipment including providing technical support for commissioning activities as required.
- Participate in integrated commissioning tests, check the handover and acceptance documentation, BOM, and approved drawings;
- Assist in development and review of Engineering Design project proposals, project or asset studies, project drawings and documentation, and company standards;
- Work with contractors to achieve scope and deliverables, as well as stakeholder expectations.
Maintenance Engineering:
- Provides support in troubleshooting discipline related issues.
- Support development of Preventative Maintenance Library (PML) strategies by the application of reliability centered maintenance techniques and establish control ensuring compliance with Kazakh Regulations and company Standards.
- Support the creation of SAP Maintenance Programs, including Campaign programs, in order to ensure Integrity, Safe and Reliable Operation and maximum Availability of the facilities.
- Identify assignment of SAP object types, valid equipment register, and group equipment to prevent gaps and ensure efficient maintenance execution.
- Validate & revise system BOMs and systems maintenance spare parts requirements. Support maintenance on the procurement of these spare parts, identification of replacement parts due to obsolescence, and spare parts
minimum/maximum levels in SAP.
