Requirements:
- Higher Degree / Diploma qualification in Technical Discipline.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience with at least 4 years’ experience as operations engineer / directly working with operations for technical engineering support
- Experience in coaching, mentoring and assessing national workforce;
- Supervision of vendors.
- Experience in the acceptance & handover of facilities/equipment. Performance testing and verification.
- Significant experience in Oil & Gas equipment Operation;
Required Competences:
- Fluent in both spoken and written English;
- Medical Certificate of Fitness;
- Previous experience in Caspian Area would be beneficial.
- Exposure to both Onshore and Offshore operations and/or project start-up experience. In addition, experience in working in harsh geographical and /or technical environments (e.g. temperature extremes, high pressure reservoirs) would be beneficial.
- Skill of process related principles, P&ID’s, Operating Integrity and Process Safety; Knowledge of local and international codes and process safety regulations
- Skill on basis process engineering calculations: hydraulics, process simulation.
- Knowledge and experience in operation of plant machinery and associated systems;
- Knowledge of daily monitoring of key equipments and troubleshooting techniques using plant data. Knowledge of using interface databooks such as PI Process Book is. advantageous but not essential
- SIMOPS management;
- Knowledge of Management of Change and Risk Assessment for plant changes.
Responsibilities:
- Support commissioning (sweet hydrocarbon reintroduction) and testing all relevant equipment in the plant.
- Technical input for operating procedures, review of start-up procedures.
- Daily monitoring of unit and key operating parameters and reporting key performance indicators to management.
- Extensively support operations during start-up of the plant.
- Troubleshooting of any malfunctions / work with different disciplines. Lead root cause analysis for process related issues.
- Support Management of Change (MOC) process from process point of view. Review other MOCs and give technical input.
- Performance test of the units/equipments.
- Work with Engineering Company, Operations, Vendors for identifying, implementing changes (brownfield changes) and support in all execution phases.
- To develop ‘what if’ scenarios and train operations within them
Level I:
- Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters;
- Maybe assisted by entry/junior or Intermediate level personnel;
- Assignment are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity;
- Has appreciable latitude for unreviewed action or decision.
