Requirements:


The job holder must have:
 At least 10 years of experience working in a large energy project or company.
 A minimum of 10 years ’ experience with audit and / or compliance investigations, with at least two years’ experience of compliance investigations.
 Certified Fraud Examiner and/or Certified Internal Auditor required.
 Bachelors, but ideally Masters , Degree in Finance. A Law Degree would be a benefit but is not required.

In addition following skills are essential:
 Ability to provide Civil/Criminal testimony regarding work product.
 Accounting, Contracting & Procurement, and Finance skills.
 Knowledge of fraud and anti-corruption legislation is a strong advantage (including FCPA and UK Bribery Act).
 Experience presenting and discussing sensitive topics with senior management.

Required Competencies:
 Detailed knowledge of accounting records and systems and a working knowledge of forensi c data interrogation techniques (including data analytics and data mining techniques).
 Uncompromising ethics, honesty and integrity, including the ability to maintain strict confidentiality, independence and standards of professionalism in the conduct and management of investigations.
 Ability to communicate and engage effectively with people at all levels.

 Familiarity with electronic data systems and data collection.

Responsibilities:

Manage the compliance investigations function:
 Overall functional responsibility for compliance investigations;
 Responsible for mobilizing and nurturing the investigations community across the different Directorates (including C&P, Security, HR and IT, among others);
 Responsible for developing the standards & tools used in investigations and the resources to conduct such investigations;
 Responsible for short and longer term resource planning of compliance investigations;
 Development of investigation standards and ensure consistent usage of those standards by other investigators;
 Responsible for the development of compliance investigations & forensic accounting tools;
 Responsible for the transfer of knowledge and training of future compliance investigators Manage the execution of compliance investigations:
 Manage the pipeline of compliance investigations which may involve, but are not limited to, fraud, theft, bribery, kickbacks, conflicts of interest and general corruption issues involving employees, contract employees, vendors/suppliers and others . It can also periodically involve investigations involving anti-trust issues.
 Manage & lead all investigations into potential violations of the Code of Conduct, company policy and the ABC laws in order to (a) maximize company and employee trust and minimize financial and reputational loss and other liabilities, and (b) effectively facilitate management decision-making including consequence management.
 Along with the Managing Counsel, E&C, responsible for helping define and administer the investigation strategy for each of the investigations and for assigning investigations to investigators and/or investigation teams, including the formation of an investigation team with proper subject matter experts. Manage and supervise each investigation team’s members during the investigation;
 Conduct witness and subject interviews, including the collection, preservation and analysis of evidence (digital and hard copy) to appropriate criminal and civil court standards;
 Interact effectively with and, in some cases, oversee the activities of third party contractors, forensic accounting firms and forensic IT contractors.
 Evaluate internal controls weaknesses and recommend / implement mitigation actions.
