Requirements:
Level II
Must be a graduate with Bachelor’s degree.
A degree in business/commerce is ideal but not a must.
Preference will be given to those with CIPS or similar professional qualifications (such as MMST).
3-5 years of professional CP experience preferred.
Experience of working in frontier environments will be an advantage.
Experience in the upstream/petrochemical operations, especially in the area of goods procurement and their requirements would be an advantage.
Required Competencies:
Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of NCSPA tendering procedures.
Applied knowledge of effective local content development.
Creative and detail-oriented thinker capable of developing innovative solutions and a motivated self-starter with a track record of delivery.
Proven record of involvement with multi-national and multi-cultural teams.
Skilled in CP professional competencies from defining/understanding business requirements, analyzing supply markets, to award and post award contract management.
Understanding of strategic, technical, legal, finance, taxation and commercial issues, able to cope with complexity and uncertainty.
Working knowledge of SAP Blueprint and Inventory management in SAP is essential.
Responsibilities:
Support to Materials Management Team Lead (Procurement) in developing a clear view of work-load, self and team performance through proactive analytical processes, efficient coding processes and regular follow-up.
Ensure materials are available on time to maximize plant availability and in support of smooth running of plant maintenance campaigns.
Scope includes production and any future project related materials outside of the ring fenced EP project work.
Ensure adherence to CPPM procedures.
Identify ways in which the overall procurement process can be improved to reduce lead time and improve cost effectiveness of the organization.
Maintain supplier relationship with those categories/contracts that are identified as tactical or strategic.
Follow NCSPSA tender procedures;
Work collaboratively with IPO/ILO to understand business requirements and create clear priorities for the team on the basis of business requirements.
Work in close cooperation with other CP and MM teams to facilitate a continuous exchange of knowledge and ensure that lessons learned from other parts of the business are adopted as appropriate.
Ensure CP documentation for own area is compliant with reporting and controls requirements and all fiscal and legal regulations.
Maintain a good overview of own performance and provide timely reports on key KPI’s.
Drive 40:40:20 thinking within the own area of work. (40% of the value is driven by specification, 40% value is driven by volume and 20% value is driven by price).
Be the commercial conscience of the company – Ensure the Company always pays nothing more than a fair price for goods procured.
