Requirements:

 Degree in Engineering or equivalent level (course in statistics/analytics is a plus).
 Effective relationship skills across organizational boundaries.
 5+ years’ experience with a proven track record in capital projects/oil & gas industry across multiple functions such as Project Management, Cost estimation, Cost Management, Strategy, Process Improvements functions.
 Prior experience of working in multi-functional teams or having multiple interfaces.
 Ability to identify, analyse and resolve complex technical/commercial problems and to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
 Prior experience of benchmarking in capital projects or data management and understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) of capital projects.
 Understanding of HSE importance in planning and executing projects, proactive approach to HSE issues.

 Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; Good people skills - networking, proactive and go-getter.
 Strong analytical skills, aptitude to work with and diligent with data and numbers, and energized person with a logical approach.
 Ability to use advanced Excel or other applications used for data management, analysis and data visualisation.
 Good interpersonal skills; ability to mentor / coach direct reports / people within the team.
 Knowledge of advanced applications such as SqL, Business Intelligence applications (Power BI, Spotfire etc.).
 Ability to communicate and work effectively within a multicultural environment.
 Good understanding of English (written and spoken), knowledge of Kazakh and/or Russian is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Benchmarking Engineer is responsible to implement efficient Project Management/Control processes/systems in line with Company vision to optimize costs, Planning and support IT for data-centric Project Management. This includes but is not
limited to:
 Provide expertise to Company project management stakeholders (Project teams, IT, C&P etc.) in improving/implementing tools for Portfolio Management, Risk, Cost Management, Change Management, Project manpower planning and management, Lessons Learned, Cost Estimating and Benchmarking, to support digitalization initiatives in Company.
 Ensuring that all project work activities are implemented in accordance with the Company Project Management System (NPMS) and industry best practices where applicable.
 Conceiving, implementing and/or participating in capital efficiency improvement initiatives as directed.
 Bridge the gaps in existing project management processes under the guidance of process owner of Project Management by reviewing in depth the existing processes.
 Support IT system improvements in relation to benchmarking database and project controls tools improvement and implementation to ensure suitability and fit-for-purpose for NDD usage.
 Do proof-of-concept of identified tools/applications in collaboration with IT/IM.
 Custodian of data collection and benchmarking work process/system, identify gaps or opportunities and support continuous improvement of the whole process.
 Liaise with external parties (CoV’s) for benchmarking best practices.
 Support Estimating and Planning group to build-up a benchmarking database which includes technical and commercial data of projects such as costs of equipment and bulk materials, construction norms, productivity norms, durations etc. (to name a few).
 Generate benchmarks from internal data sets and then to be compared with external benchmark sources (such as IPA). To establish Company cost competitiveness in support of $5BOE or below unit operating cost initiative.
 Take the ownership of technical and commercial data integration across Company verticals/functions in line with Company data-centric vision and support cost & planning optimization and capital efficiency.
 Ability to see the bigger picture across Company directorates/functions, interpret data and find trends and significant patterns.
 Ensure benchmarking requirements are met during implementation of Project Services Toolkit in projects.
 Facilitate training and onboarding Project Team and Contractor responsible for supporting benchmarking activities of the project;
 Align and Integrate benchmarking process/system across Company, identify gaps/opportunities and support continuous improvement of overall benchmarking process.
