Requirements:

 Bachelor's degree in engineering or environmental specialty;
 Good knowledge of the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, methods and practical experience in implementing environmental monitoring programs;
 Deep knowledge of environmental monitoring procedures, laboratory requirements and standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
 Knowledge of the fundamentals of the oil industry, especially technological processes and the related environmental impact;
 At least 3 years of experience in the oil and gas or other industries or consultation on engineering, in the field of environmental protection or in the relevant scientific discipline;
 Proven experience in reporting on environmental monitoring results, as well as preparing environmental monitoring policies and procedures necessary to carry out environmental research programs, as well as coordinating field work in terms of safety, efficiency and satisfactory completion of projects.

Required Competency:
 Ability to manage changes in a multinational team;
 Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project, GIS, performance monitoring applications;
 Ability to work in a multinational team and interact with various stakeholders;
 Skills of interpersonal communication, presentation and organization of work;
 Ability to carry out effective communication in English, Kazakh and Russian;
 Preferred knowledge and experience in the areas of ISO 14001 and 9001 standards, waste management, laboratory work and environmental monitoring aspects.

Responsibilities:

 Development and implementation of environmental impact monitoring / environmental monitoring programs at land and sea facilities, wildlife research programs, the Biodiversity Conservation Action Plan and the Wildlife Protection Plan, terrestrial, marine environmental impacts / baseline, wildlife survey programs, biodiversity action plan and wildlife response plan, air quality measuring stations (on land and offshore s), geo-environmental monitoring (including groundwater) and reporting;
 Providing support in managing contracts for wildlife conservation works, work related to geo-environmental research at offshore and land facilities, laboratory analyzes and reporting in accordance with company policies and standards;
 Supporting the group in the implementation of the Environmental Action Plan and the preparation of appropriate reporting;
 Assisting in the preparation of responses to inquiries and complaints regarding the company's environmental activities and performance indicators;
 Verification of the performance of work by contractors in accordance with the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and QA / QC processes, including the audit of sampling at a production facility and the analytical work performed by the Contractors;
 Monitoring the timely receipt of environmental survey reports from contractors, their registration and subsequent submission to state bodies.
