Requirements:
A higher education diploma in Health and Safety Management or relevant technical disciplines.
Longer work experiences in relevant field with supporting safety or related certifications may be
considered on exceptional cases.
3 years of experience in onshore and offshore operations in the oil and gas industry.

Knowledge of process operations and key systems and plant.
Required Competences:
The job holder must have proven:
Good level of understanding of safety (HSE) management systems.
Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.
Ability to work as a team member.
Highly motivated and positive, strong analysis and problem solving.
Auditing experience and incident investigation skills is desirable.
Computer literacy on Microsoft program: Word, Access, Power Point and Excel.
Knowledge of RoK safety legislation and standards
Awareness or knowledge in the following areas:
- SIMOPS activities procedures;
- PTW procedures;
- Experience in instituting and implementing accident and incident investigation;
- FF equipment and protection equipment;
- H2S working procedures
- Local and international codes and regulations related to safety.
Responsibilities:
The job holder is responsible for:
In the area of responsibilities described in job purpose section,
Field implementation and monitoring of safety compliance by Company staff and contractors,
with respect to soft and hard controls system.
To support PTW system compliance and carry out Audits.
Assist in the effective implementation of the HSE case and reporting of performance.
Delivery of necessary safety training to all members of field Operation teams - and review of
contractors training programs for effectiveness. Example - Permit to Work, Incident
Investigation, Risk Analysis, Safety Zoning, Working in Live Areas.
Hold field safety meetings, between Contractors and Company Supervisors.
Actively promote safe practices at the Work Sites by, utilizing the SAFER systems, and providing
on-the-job coaching.
Responsible for carrying safety inspections, issuing area reports, monitoring contractor safety
performance
Support in safety studies such as HAZID / HAZOP / JHA / HRA as requested by the safety
Supervisor
Active collaboration in maintaining all necessary records.
Give direct safety assistance to area operational supervision
Assist local Contractors with safety processes in line with the Company requirements involving:
Interface documents, HSE Cases and safety Plans as part of the overall HSE Plan.
Participate in the Incident Investigation and Reporting process as requested by the Safety
Supervisor and be competent in the administration of the Promasys software for data entry and
analysis.
Participate in site visits, inspections and reporting on the activity, follow up & close-out on agreed
corrective actions as requested by the safety Supervisor.
Participate in the development of emergency response procedures and drills.
Supporting the collation and reporting of statistical data in an accurate and timely manner and
assist Company in maintaining successful delivery of the Key Performance Indicators.
Level II:
Under supervision, performs work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character, but usually involves limited responsibilities.
Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required.
