Requirements:
Degree in relevant technical or Engineering Degree (e.g. Health & Safety/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent). Longer work experiences in relevant field with supporting safety or related certifications may be considered
on exceptional cases.
• Minimum 8-10 years in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical Industry, in senior role at site, to have included:
- experience in SIMOPS activities procedures; - experience in PTW procedures; -
experience in establishing and implementing accident and incident investigation; -
awareness in FF equipment and protection equipment; - knowledge of EER
procedures; - knowledge of high H2S environment working conditions; - knowledge of
risk assessment procedures- HAZOP/HAZID; - knowledge of HSE Data management;
- knowledge of international and local codes and standards related to safety; -
experience in preparing reports and using statistical software packages;
Required Minimum for HSE Training for positions based in Offshore:
• HSE Induction(s);
• RoK Industrial Safety for Hazardous Facilities operating personnel and all Company personnel at supervisory level;
• RoK Labor and Safety protection ;
• H2S/Sour safety related training(s) as determined by Company
• Valid offshore related trainings and passing offshore medical examination as determined by Company.
• Self-starter who is able to effectively set and deliver against their own priorities within the context of the current and
planned workload;
• Ability to work in team environments, communicate, understand and work within the dynamics of a multi- functional and multi-location environment;
• Ability to lead and coach international Junior Staff;
• Capacity to integrate within an international and national workforce;

The job holder is responsible for:
In the area of responsibilities described in job purpose section,
Developing, implementing and promoting the appropriate POD Safety and Corporate Safety strategy and plans
(including site level safety assurance plans) and site specific Key Focus Areas with safety interface (e.g. PTW,
MOC, Golden Rules etc.);
Establishing and maintaining a focused and effective and proactive safety culture within the site-based team which includes supporting the operation and maintenance of safety critical elements (Operating windows,
Overrides, Facility Status Reports);
Actively monitoring all Safety (and Health where relevant) related systems, processes and procedures and identifying its improvement where needed;
Ensuring that the company’s Risk Assessment process is in place and is being adhered to and followed-up in timely manner;
Reporting of all safety related activities and recording of necessary safety statistics (KPI-Key performance Indicators) both at operational and managerial levels;
Keeping informed of new safety related legislation, interpreting them and its likely impact on site operations;
Acting as the principal point of contact in dealing with external regulatory bodies relating to safety;
Assuring compliance of equipment and systems with official certification/approvals;
Identifying and supporting the implementation of safety related training for site staff;
Maintaining the verification system and statistics, monitor safety aspects of all processes and documentation;
Review and endorse the safety content of competency profiles of all Asset functions;
Implement the overall HSE Competence Assurance of Operational Site Staff focusing on safety competence
Conducting internal audits or reviews of the safety systems and processes including on contractors where relevant
Manage the process of Accident/Incident investigations in timely manner and complying with Company requirements, applying and disseminating appropriate lessons learned;
Participating in High Potential/Actual Incident investigations, extracting learning and disseminating it to all relevant sites across the organization
Support ER Team in Developing and implementing an Emergency Response training programme, including drills and exercises and specifying and assuring the inspection and maintenance of emergency response equipment where required.
