Requirements:
Bachelor degree or Master degree in Geographic Information System or relative disciplines such as Geodesy &Cartography, Geography, Earth Sciences
5 years discipline or relevant industry experience post qualification.
Professional GIS experience with extensive working knowledge of ESRI and related spatial tools.
Experience of standards usage and applications (ISO, OGP, UKOOA, etc…) Knowledgeable in exploration, development and engineering data workflows.
Experience in data acquisition and quality control
Knowledge of E&P business processes.
Experience with data manipulation tools, preferably FME, desired.
Understanding of IM/ IT systems, such as Oracle, EDMS and relevant to Geo-Information Management
The Company and Project working language is English, but preferable good spoken and written knowledge in Kazakh and Russian languages.

Responsibilities:
Arrange for “Front –desk” services to Company customers focusing on mapping & cartography.
Maintain the geodetic integrity of data.
Assure of Geomatics application portfolio particularly in the 12 months following transition.
Implement the OGP Seabed Survey data model.
Implement the APDM as a tool for pipeline data management
Arrange for GIS/CAD support to be provided to internal Company teams focusing on
- GIS Cartography - Cad support - Remote Sensing - EQUIS environmental data (bases) - OSR applications and mapping
Assure “Back-office” Geoinformation management processes (quality control, processing, analysis) around spatial data.
Implement group standard data models particularly SSDM (Seabed Survey Data Model) and APDM (ArcGIS Pipeline Data Model), within the Company ArcGIS environment
Generate efforts within Venture to implement other agreed Geomatics standards from Industry while still meeting the local needs of Company
Implement data management tools to maintain geo-reference integrity.
Mentor and develop junior staff, and provision of structured advice to other non technical Company users.
Preparation of clear and regular reports.
Organize and support GIS in the business, building and maintaining relationships with key user groups.
Level II:
Under supervision, performs work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character, but usually involves limited responsibilities.
Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required.
