Requirements:

Appropriate education from a certified Technical School, College or University or other appropriate life Skills to offset Education requirements.
Knowledge of production operations in DCS, Fire & Gas Detection and Auto ESD/Blow down systems.
Knowledge of process related principles and reference materials such as PID’s/Reference Documents.
Knowledge / experience in the areas of Utilities plant and the relevant distribution system (i.e. Technical Water Unit, Fresh Water Unit, Open Drains System, Closed Drains System, Water Disposal Unit, Fuel Gas System, Sour Water Stripping Unit, Compressed Air System, Service Water Unit, Nitrogen Unit, Firewater System, Diesel Unit, Waste.
Water Treatment Unit, Chemical Storage, Heating Medium System).
Knowledge in the operation and maintenance of plant, machinery, instrumentation and associated systems and basic troubleshooting techniques.
Knowledge of local and international codes and regulations regarding mechanical systems and equipment.
RoK Blue book certified (training and assessment will be provided if required).
RoK Certification for pressure vessels, gas facilities and lifting equipment.
Medical Certificate of Fitness.

Responsibilities:

Operate units in accordance with operating procedures, manuals, regalement’s.
Verify that operation and maintenance activities are being carried out comply with appropriate work and safety procedures.
Responding to Air/N2 Plant upsets and unit emergencies and acting accordingly.
Required to handle, store and utilize chemicals.
Verifying that all the activities are carried out accordingly to the PTW Procedure.
Apply operation procedures in high risk jobs and abnormal situations.
Knowledge and proven skills of production operations for each specific relevant area, including but not limited to: Waste water treatment plant, Air/N2 system, fire water system, Fuel Gas and sour water stripper system.
Checking routinely for leakages from flanges/piping, instrumentation, machinery and equipment identifying and reporting to Utility Plant senior operator/Plant supervisor (Utilities).
Conducting checks/surveys in the Utilities Units Plant according to established frequency or when necessary, identifying and reporting possible anomalies.
Fully aware of N2 and chemical hazards.
Maintain and ensure compliance in RoK certification required to operate Fuel gas, sour water stripper and waste water treatment system.
