Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional legal advice and support to business units and management;
- Draft claims, motions, replies to claims and other court and legal documents;
- Represent and protect the company’s interests in courts, arbitration proceedings, governmental bodies and negotiations with third parties;
- Provide legal support during governmental inspections, audits, investigations and other regulatory procedures;
- Monitor changes in the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, assess related legal risks and advise relevant business functions;
- Cooperate with external legal advisers, lawyers, notaries, bailiffs and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualification Requirements:
- University degree in Law;
- At least 8 years of professional legal experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry and/or litigation;
- Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan legislation and practical experience in litigation and legal dispute matters;
- Excellent legal drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to provide independent legal advice and work effectively in a multicultural and multi-stakeholder environment;
- English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate or higher.
