Responsibilities:
- Review approved drawings, method statements, technical specifications, equipment manuals, project schedules, and contractual requirements before starting the work;
- Plan daily and weekly work activities and ensure that mechanical installation works are completed according to the approved construction schedule;
- Supervise the installation, alignment, levelling, assembly, and testing of roof sheets and crane girder and its structural components, and associated systems;
- Ensure that all bolts, embedded items, access arrangements, and civil work fronts are ready before equipment installation;
- Coordinate the mobilisation and effective utilisation of manpower, cranes, lifting equipment, tools, consumables, and installation materials;
- Coordinate with the engineering, civil, electrical, instrumentation, procurement, logistics, quality, HSE, commissioning, and client teams;
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and ensure strict compliance with the project’s health, safety, and environmental requirements;
- Verify that work permits, risk assessments, job safety analyses, lifting permits, hot-work permits, and confined-space permits are available before starting the respective activities;
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections, material verification, alignment checks and final acceptance;
- Inspect equipment and materials for damage, shortages, or technical discrepancies and report any issues immediately;
- Monitor daily productivity, identify delays or constraints, and implement corrective measures to maintain the approved schedule;
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, including manpower deployment, equipment utilisation, completed quantities, delays, and upcoming activities;
- Attend coordination and progress meetings with the client, consultant, subcontractors, vendors, and project management team;
- Raise requests for information, technical queries, inspection requests, material requests, and site instructions whenever required;
- Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendor representatives during installation supervision, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning;
- Ensure that punch-list items, installation deficiencies, and quality observations are closed within the agreed timeframe;
- Control material wastage, equipment idle time, rework, and unnecessary expenditure during site execution;
- Maintain proper records of inspections, test reports, equipment alignment reports, calibration certificates, welding records, and installation checklists;
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including flushing, cleaning, lubrication, rotation checks, functional testing, trial runs, and performance testing;
- Ensure that mechanical completion dossiers, as-built drawings, operation manuals, certificates, and handover documentation are properly compiled.
Qualification Requirements:
- Higher education;
- Proven experience leading teams.
