Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Organize and coordinate the delivery of projects of varying complexity, ensuring execution on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with Company requirements and the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Management of Change (MoC): Lead the implementation of plant modifications, develop and execute change proposals, and ensure all changes are properly approved and comply with established procedures;
- Project Development: Participate in the selection of technical solutions, develop project execution plans, prepare cost estimates and budgets, and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities;
- Project Execution: Manage all project phases, from engineering and design through construction, commissioning, and handover to operations;
- Planning and Control: Develop project schedules and budgets, monitor project scope, costs, timelines, and ensure the efficient utilization of engineering resources;
- Risk and Compliance Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while ensuring compliance with Company standards, the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and international engineering standards;
- Contracts and Procurement Management: Develop contracting and procurement strategies and coordinate activities with Contracts & Procurement teams and contractors;
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective collaboration with contractors, government authorities, internal departments, operations, and maintenance teams;
- Communication and Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular project reports, manage official correspondence, and keep management and Consortium partners informed of project progress;
- Quality and HSE Management: Ensure compliance with the highest Health, Safety, Environment, Security, and Quality (HSESQ) standards throughout all project phases;
- Project Readiness and Handover: Ensure successful completion of project stage-gates, readiness of project documentation, and effective handover of completed facilities to operations;
- Corporate Compliance: Perform duties in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and continuous improvement principles, and carry out assignments delegated by management.
Qualification Requirements:
- Higher professional (technical) education with at least 8-10 years’ of relevant experience in technical roles;
- Significant Brownfield Project Experience;
- Experience of driving business improvement in project management, key words being: HSE, fit-for-purpose pragmatic solutions and cost effectiveness;
- Demonstrable experience in coaching and improving a local Project skill pool;
- English level: Intermediate or above.
