Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements production processes automation, digitalization and mechanization strategy within Production Operations Directorate;
  • Ensures the automation strategy is aligned with business objectives, HSE requirements, assets reliability and RoK regulatory requirements;
  • Determines development short, medium and long-term priorities for control, automation and instrumentation systems;
  • Reviews and recommends the performance targets for the function and monitors their achievement;
  • Responsible for the efficient use of automation function resources, including budget planning and control (CAPEX and OPEX), as well as evaluates cost effectiveness of engineering solutions.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in automation, mechanization, electronics, process control, instrumentation, or related engineering disciplines;
  • At least 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including operation, maintenance and modification of production facilities, of which a minimum of 10-years must have been in roles similar to this job description;
  • Proven experience in managing production processes automation and mechanization at major oil and gas facilities;
  • Deep knowledge of control and automation systems, including DCS, SIS, F&G, PLC, SCADA, including their integration into the production environment;
  • Experience in leading engineering and cross-functional teams, including supervisors and contractors;
  • Practical experience in managing contractors, contracts and interacting with technology providers;
  • Experience in participating in modification, reconstruction and commissioning projects at high-risk facilities;
  • English language: Upper-Intermediate (B2) — mandatory.
