Job Accountabilities:

  • Provide tools for risk management/assessment; to contribute to the setting of risk management standards;
  • Facilitate risk analysis and assessments of process change utilising tools such as HAZOP, HAZID, What-if, etc;
  • Provide support to departments of Operations Directorate during incident investigations and other activities associated with technical safety and risk management issues;
  • Support development of programmes for KPO staff to promote process safety culture amongst the national and expatriate employees and to ensure the awareness of major accident hazards.

 

Qualification requirements:

  • HAZOP/HAZID techniques;
  • Working knowledge of Risk Assessment techniques, incident investigation, auditing and safety management systems;
  • Technical compliance audit;
  • Safety Case or DSI development and implementation;
  • Emergency Evacuation and Rescue assessment and strategies;
  • Processes and facilities design and operations.
  • proficiency with MS Office applications and other basic office software packages;
  • Business partnering skills to coach, support and challenge colleagues in all KPO directorates;
  • communication skills in English;
  • Higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant speciality;
  • Not less than 2 years of work experience as Operations Risk Engineer.
