JOB DUTIES
- Manage effectively, delegate and prioritize activities within a section personnel aimed to maintain and improve road traffic safety in Company;
- Provide consultancy and support on road traffic safety issues to Company and Contractors personnel;
- Develop and implement effective yearly road traffic safety improvement plans, schedules, multi-year road safety strategic plan and vision;
- Analyse immediate and root causes of road traffic violations and incidents, effectiveness of recommendations and corrective actions, provide and implement proposals on decrease of number of road traffic violations and incidents;
- Participate and ensure participation of a section personnel in road traffic safety compliance inspections, reviews and audits, in road traffic incidents investigations and risks assessments;
- Develop and implement activities aimed to increase safe driving culture within Company and Contractors;
- Look for best international practices in road traffic safety and consider their implementation in Company;
- Organize, conduct and participate in road traffic safety meetings, stand downs and campaigns with involvement of Company and Contractors personnel;
- Develop, issue, timely update road traffic safety standards, procedures and guidelines;
- Liaise with Authorities for road traffic safety activities requiring agreement with them, cooperate with them for road traffic safety campaigns for local community;
- Plan and manage effectively budget related to road traffic safety;
- Maintaining compliance of Company Road Traffic Safety Management System with RoK legislation and international Road Traffic Management Systems standard ISO 39001:2012;
- Maintaining compliance of Company and Contractors personnel with RoK and Company road traffic safety requirements.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant speciality and not less than 2 years of work experience in the lead specialist positions as per speciality or not less than 6 years of work experience in the specialist/engineer positions as per speciality.
- RoK road traffic legislation;
- Vehicle design and maintenance;
- International standards and best practices in road traffic safety.
- Planning and coordination skills;
- ability to perform analysis of HSE trends to identify areas of improvement;
- incident investigation and auditing skills;
- analytical thinking and root cause analysis;
- skills in developing of recommendations and SMART actions;
- strong influence and communication / negotiation skills
- strong writing, facilitation and presentation skills;
- strong problem solving and decision-making skills;
- proficiency in all MS Office applications and other office software packages, database applications and electronic filing system;
- mentoring skills to coach and counsel staff in their professional development;
- English language – upper intermediate level or above
