Job Accountabilities:

• Support the SDE on well planning activities including the availability of equipment, material and resources during the Define stage of the well delivery process;
• Support the SDE in the review and control of the quality of data delivered by Geology and Reservoir Management (GRM) department for well planning and programming during the Define stage of the well delivery process before the Execution stage;
• Contribute to the planning of all future wells, providing technical inputs to optimize cost of drilling & HSE performance of the wells;
• Support in the preparation of all relevant documents for drilling requested by the regulatory bodies. Ensure full adherence to Zhaikmunai LLP Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and standards, and to meet the ESG commitments;
• Provide day-to-day supervision and control over the drilling/completion /rig related well testing operations, in accordance with the approved programmes and procedures - Supervise the timely execution of the approved programmes on the current drilling & completion activities by the rig contractor and service companies. Manage and supervise drilling & completion operations and the contractors' activity in accordance with approved programs, schedules and procedures;
• Provide reporting to the Departmental Management and Engineering Staff on technical data, performance indicators, their generalization and classification; participate in carrying out necessary calculations and obtaining data;
• Provide current instructions to the Drilling Contractors Rig manager/Toolpushers as related to observance of the well drilling programme and improvement of the well drilling process.

Qualification requirements:

• Higher professional (technical - oil and gas) education
• Minimum 20 years experience with Drilling, Completion. Must have some experience with Managed Pressure Drilling Operations.
• IWCF certificate
• MS Word; MS Excel; MS Powerpoint; Drilling Hydraulics + Torque & drag Analyses
• Fluency in technical English and Russian languages; basic Kazakh language knowledge is desirable.
• Excellent MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and Project Schedule user skills
• Software knowledge: Drilling Hydraulics + Torque & drag Analyses e.g. Landmark Wellplan and Compass, Landmark OpenWells
• Good Combined Drilling Engineering and Wellsite Supervision experience in similar roles.
