Job Accountabilities:

  • Reports to Company Safety Supervisor and undertake associated duties;
  • Responsible for regular HSE inspection of equipment related to land transportation activities on site;
  • Provides professional expertise and advise on In-Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS) implementation;
  • Responsible for centralized IVMS management and visualization of land transportation operations performance for primary and secondary logistics;
  • Taking part in all HSE activities in accordance with Company HSE policies and procedures;
  • Prepares land transportation related safety notifications and letters for submission to personnel;
  • Supports internal communications and relations with personnel regarding land transportation safety subject matter;
  • Provide professional advice, and whenever necessary hands-on support, to the line in land transportation safety activities such as Job Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessment, environmental monitoring and Incident investigation and applicable corrective actions.

Qualification requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Advanced professional-level in Safety Management desirable;
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in Logistics Safety management and land transportation disciplines;
  • Strong commitment to safety and ability to educate and persuade personnel to adopt safety rules;
  • Good English communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Knowledge of RoK Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental Laws/Regulations;
  • Knowledge of RoK and international HSE codes, standards, rules and regulations;
  • Knowledge of international and RoK rules and requirements for the safe transportation by road;
  • Knowledge of RoK Cargo Transportation, Lifting operations, Dangerous Goods regulations;
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Managements System requirements;
  • Ability to make presentations and write effective reports;
  • Ability to work in team environments, communicate, understand and work within the dynamics of a multi-functional department;
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships;
  • Capacity to integrate with an international and national workforce;
  • Supervisory abilities and planning capability;
  • Team and self-motivation skills;
  • Knowledge of occupational health, safety, environment and or quality management certification processes and of integrated management systems;
  • Knowledge of logistics systems and processes, preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry;
  • Advanced skill level in MS Software packages such as MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
