Job Accountabilities:

  • Reports to Company Logistics Services and Railway Supervisors and undertake associated duties;
  • Personal responsibilities of the railway operations area;
  • Monitors daily and site supervision of all Railway Operations including (but not limited) short line operations, railcars loading/unloading, cleaning and associated railway equipment regular maintenance activities;
  • Develops and implementing systems, procedures, plans, work instructions, normative and technical documentations required to enable the effective provision and control of Railway Operations Services;
  • Support in identification, planning and implementation of improvement programs to further the efficiencies within Logistics;
  • Manages and implementation the safety rules for hazardous cargo transportation by railways;
  • Develops and supervision of daily activities process documents for railway operations on both Station – Eskene West and Bolashak;
  • Responsible for planning and monitoring of train and freight operations of Eskene West and Bolashak Station;
  • Controls daily routine railway operations and works arrangement, cooperation of structural subdivisions to perform freight, train and shunting operations.

Qualification requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Advanced professional-level in Railway transportation desirable;
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in in railway operation services;
  • Strong commitment to safety and ability to educate and persuade personnel to adopt safety rules;
  • Good English communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Knowledge of RoK Law on Railway transport;
  • Knowledge of RoK railways technical operation rules;
  • Knowledge of alarm instructions on RoK railways;
  • Knowledge of movement and shunting trains operations on RoK railways;
  • Ability to work in team environments, communicate, understand and work within the dynamics of a multi-functional department;
  • Supervisory abilities and planning capability;
  • Team and self-motivation skills;
  • Knowledge of occupational health, safety, environment, quality management certification processes and of integrated management systems;
  • Knowledge of logistics systems and processes, preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry;
  • Advanced skill level in MS Software packages such as MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel & Word
