Job Accountabilities:
- Coordinate preparation and reporting of construction related planning and progress data for weekly and/or monthly progress reports and report on performance and schedule. Report planned and actual progress status, analysis.
- Raise in a timely matter project critical paths and risks to Line Manager.
- Liaise with relevant users within the project to ensure construction schedule is fit for purpose and reflects how project will be delivered.
- Maintain construction performance data as required.
- Analyse construction progress reports and identify trends to validate forecasts and recovery plans.
- Participate in construction schedule risk assessments.
- Implement and control detailed construction progress measurement processes and propose and implement measures to increase productivity.
- Interface with Contractors as required to obtain construction planning and progress data.
- Coordinate preparation of weekly and monthly planning/progress data for input to reports for Project activities.
Qualification requirements:
- Planning Engineer I: higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant speciality and not less than 2 years of work experience as Planning Engineer II;
- Planning Engineer II: higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant speciality and not less than 2 years of work experience as Planning Engineer III;
- Planning Engineer III: higher education (University degree or higher) in the relevant speciality without any work experience requirements or secondary professional education in the relevant speciality and not less than 2 years of work experience as Technician I.
- Sound understanding of construction planning from Define through to Handover to operations;
- knowledge of regulating documents such as resolutions, instructions, orders and other guiding, methodical and also regulating documents on planning, and analysis of project execution activities;
- Organisation of Company planned performance;
- Planning – documentation;
- Methods and planning procedures of company;
- Fundamentals of production processes;
- Labour law; Safety and regulations.
- PC skills with use of industry standard proprietary Project Management Software packages systems and Planning Software such as Primavera P6, MSP.
- Fluent English.
