Job Accountabilities:

  • Ensure confidentiality of document’s content and subject of negotiations;
  • In case of necessity to participate in testing and evaluation of translation ability and proficiency of translator job candidates;
  • Draft procedures and other regulatory documents, as required, pertinent to the translation activities within the Department for Manager’s review and approval;
  • Keep and update on a regular basis a database of translations and Technical Translation Log and provide reports on translation activities when required;
  • Develop standard formats of papers to facilitate translation process and ease comprehension;
  • Develop glossaries of the Department and Project terms to ensure the use of uniform terminology throughout the Department and to avoid misinterpretations and misunderstandings.

Qualification requirements:

  • Kazakh and /or Russian and/or Foreign (English) language;
  • Methods of verbal and written translation of texts, technical and other special documented information;
  • Interpret negotiations;
  • Specifics of company activities;
  • Terminology of translated texts in Kazakh (Russian) or foreign languages;
  • Dictionaries, terminology standards, complied publications, reference books of economy, science and techniques, basis of translation style edition;
  • Kazakh (Russian) and foreign (English) languages vocabulary, grammar and style;
  • Best domestic and foreign practice in technical and other interpretation;
  • Basis of labor organization;
  • Labor legislation;
  • Rules and standards of occupational safety.
