Job Accountabilities:
Supports preparation of process specifications as a basis for the Design Contractor to proceed with the FEED and the detailed design of Process & Utility Systems related to Onshore and Offshore Projects whilst accounting for design quality, execution, time of implementation and cost.
Generates appropriate discipline controls for Company projects throughout the all phases (Identify, Assess, Select, Define, Execute)
Overseeing process engineering design work performed by the Engineering Contractor, and ensuring this work is timely completed in compliance with required codes and specifications.
Responsible for surveillance of contractor’s and vendors deliverables including, but not limited to, block diagrams, PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs, H&MB, data sheets, Cause & Effects, process reports, etc.
Verifies project related process safeguarding complies with Company and industry codes and standards and obtains approval for all required deviations.
Ensure use of appropriate discipline engineering standards, with appropriate consideration of international and Kazakhstan national standards and norms.
Providing process input into technical studies, operating guidelines, design verification and technical queries for the Onshore and Offshore Projects of NDD
Participating in process safety management or critical HSSE reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID, EIA, O&M, RAM and QRA.
Process support and assistance in the development & consistency of other discipline and general project engineering documentation.
Project related interpretation of Codes & Standards. Ensures that Company projects comply with the approved Codes & Standards through periodic formal/informal reviews of deliverables. Participates in technical and compliance audits.
To assess the technology and systems to allow improvements and facilitate design and operability.
Evaluates the quality of any technical risks identified with mitigations.
Support Codes and Standards team to write and advise on standardization of process codes and maintain them.
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical/process engineering.
Advantage Years of Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 12 years of oil and gas industry experience and proven track record in similar position.
Overall broad Oil & Gas facilities knowledge required but specific experience in onshore and offshore detailed design and follow on engineering to assist project definition of the detailed engineering phase. Familiar with part of, or the entire, Project life cycle (from conceptual design through to final commissioning and handover) and/or in the front line.
Expertise and technical knowledge of Process Engineering, International engineering standards and best practices.
Experience of driving business improvement in engineering, key words being: technology, fit-for-purpose solutions and cost effectiveness.
Experience in staff development, training, coaching or mentoring.
Experience of working in a high concentration H2S environment. Knowledge of and familiar with issues surrounding high pressure and high content H2S facilities and have managed staff in a similarly challenging high-risk environment.
Experience in design and operation of wastewater treatment processes, with direct application in upstream oil& gas facilities and environmental protection oriented.
