Job Accountabilities:
Cost Management
Assist business and cost work group in designing and implementing finance dimensions of Company cost operating system incl. perform gap analysis on as-is cost systems and processes (incl. gather metric), prepare new tools and workflow solutions to address gaps, and assist in day-to-day implementation of new tools and workflows.
oDeliver all performance reporting to cost work group including support validation of Actual and forecasted saving and that actual and forecast savings are optimized in monthly Company financials.
Support design and preparation of new standard cost reporting/reports across all Company Directorates.
Support design, deliver, and maintain monthly directorate financial and cost appraisal reviews across all Directorates
Support cost controllers in delivery of company cost forecasting improvements including gap analysis on asis processes and deliverables and prepare new tools and deliverables to optimize company forecast.
Support delivery of multi-year Company Cost Structure Enhancement projects incl. perform gap analysis on asis systems and processes, prepare new tools and solutions to address gaps, and day-to-day implementation of new tools and workflows.
Support of and liase with Directorates/Departments on delivery of all Company cost management deliverables.
Finance Improvement
Support delivery of multi-year improvement plan, incl. perform gap analysis on as-is systems and processes (incl. gather metric), prepare new tools and workflow solutions to address gaps, and assist in day-to-day implementation of new tools and workflows.
Support elimination of, duplicate and/or non-value adding work and reports to free up time and resources for higher capability and impact deliverables.
Execute ranking, planning and implementation of improvement initiatives on quality and on time.
Track initiative progress to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
Assist delivery of annual e-2-e Budget process improvements including gap analysis on as-is processes and deliverables and prepare new tools and deliverables.
Support design and roll-out of all Finance deliverables and processes related to the Company CMS
Simplification Improvement Project (to be completed year-end 2021).
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Management university degree;
3+ years’ experience and proven task delivery in Production Operations, cost management and/or finance improvement and organizational change project preferably in international O&G upstream business;
Experience in driving tasks and actions to overcome organizational resistance;
Familiar with cost accounting procedures;
Working knowledge of SAP;
Knowledge of PSA and JOA Budgeting processes and tasks;
Evidence of successfully delivery of critical and complex tasks through large organizations, of effectively working with and through and supporting senior stakeholders (GM/Manager level)
Required Competences:
Proven self-management and motivation skills and in motivating peers in a challenging environment to deliver exceptional results;
Very strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to organize and coordinate peer in multidisciplinary settings to deliver exceptional results;
excellent understanding of value drivers in the upstream part of oil & gas industry;
Able to work and liase with senior (GM and Manager) levels and ability to influence, drive and co-create delivery of Finance improvement and organizational change project by leveraging relationships and building new ones;
Has worked across interfaces in organizations;
Proven task delivery in green field work as this role requires shaping and building with high levels of ambiguity
Good time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines;
Fluent English (written and spoken synthesis) ;
Diplomacy, resistance to stress.
