Requirements:

University Degree in a technical discipline with at least 15 years’ experience in technical roles
Significant Brownfield Project Experience.
Experience of driving business improvement in project management, key words being: HSE, fit-for-purpose pragmatic solutions and cost effectiveness.
Demonstrable experience in coaching and improving a local Project skillpool

Responsibilities:

Ensure that the highest standards of HSSE are attained throughout all phases of the assigned Brownfield project(s).
Demonstrate ability and competence in framing opportunities.
Supervise and coach upto six (6) Project Engineers to develop project management competencies and to produce quality output/deliverables.
Lead execution of projects in accordance with RoK and Company codes and standards, within time and budget, and to meet the business needs in terms of capacity, operability, maintainability and reliability.
Ensure all project specifications fully comply with applicable RoK statutory requirements, DEP's, international codes and standards such as BS and ASME
Ensure that all projects change proposals are fully compliant with the Company Projects Delivery Roadmap (PDR) and Plant Change Procedure including DCAF, PCAP and other requirements and deliverables
Develop quality Project Execution Plan(s), cost estimate(s) and obtaining budget approval based on BfD and/or FEED documentation. This requires an effective interface with Discipline Engineering teams.
Actively progress the job from FEED through detailed design, procurement, construction and pre-commissioning to hand-over to Operations
Coordinate requirements of management decision gates for all projects.
Manage sensitive projects change proposals correspondence and distribute to relevant stakeholders as necessary
Manage interfaces and relationships with internal and external stakeholders including government authorities, in-house resources, Contracting and Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Maintenance and Construction teams
Demonstrate leadership in quality and safety with regard to the projects
Challenge and improve project schedules and cost estimates
Manage and control change in scope, cost and schedule.
Implement workface planning to ensure cost effective construction
Ensure timely availability of all necessary engineering deliverables and regulatory approvals for efficient construction
Ensure a structured approach to transfer knowledge from inaugural expatriate staff to national staff
Close-out of all modifications and projects including as-building and updating operating documents as required
Record and communicate learning across different phases of the project and the venture
Contribute to production projects business improvement strategies and reviews
Conduct weekly meetings and monthly performance reviews of projects
Define and set goals, tasks associated with delivery of projects
Organize and coordinate timely execution of hybrid of low, medium and high complexity projects
Monitor the effective use of engineering services resources Ensure that all key project interfaces are identified and managed through the development and application of an Interface Management System
Keep the Decision Executive, Business Opportunity Manager, Asset Managers & Co-Venture Partners (as requested) fully informed of progress of projects through the provision of regular cost and schedule progress reports.
Application of team working principles between the Project Team and the Engineering Services Contractor such that control is exercised whilst contractual responsibilities and liabilities are maintained.
