Job Accountabilities:

  • Provide Pipeline Engineering technical support as required by the KEP1 Project Manager, Project Engineering Manager, Lead Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineers and wider team. Work flexibly and proactively across engineering disciplines and organizational functions (e.g. HSSE, Quality, Project Services, Contract Administration, Construction, Commissioning and OR&A) providing support, input and direction as required.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership and promote a positive safety culture. Role model positive leadership, management and teamworking behaviours. Follow the Company Golden Rules: Comply, Intervene, Respect.
  • Provide Pipeline Engineering services in the Office to ensure successful delivery of KEP1 Detailed Design and Procurement. This will mainly be by oversight of Pipeline Engineering team(s) of Contractors working on KEP1 Detailed Design, in the Client role, including timely review and approval of deliverables. There may also be the need to produce Pipeline Engineering deliverables “in-house”.
  • Provide Pipeline Engineering services in the Field to ensure successful delivery of KEP1 Construction and Commissioning. This will mainly be by oversight of the Pipeline Engineering, Construction and Commissioning team(s) of KEP1 Contractors, working in a Field Engineering role as Client.

Qualification requirements:

  • Good specialist knowledge of Pipeline Engineering both via education and on the job experience, including Detailed Design experience.
  • Experience of onshore oil & gas upstream facilities and pipelines, preferably including sour gas and compression, preferably in both greenfield and brownfield environments.
  • Good knowledge of techniques, processes, systems and best practices for engineering and some or preferably all of: procurement, construction and commissioning.
  • Commercially aware with knowledge delivering engineering via contract / contractor management, preferably for both reimbursable and lump sum contracts.
  • Aware of international and/or local Codes & Standards used in petroleum industry (e.g. ASME, API, ISO, SNIP, GOST) and best practices.
  • Proactive, organized, resilient, flexible, self-confident and assertive with the ability to motivate self and others to meet challenging targets.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline protect team, interfacing with other KPO organisational units and 3rd party organisations (e.g. EPC contractor) as required to successfully deliver the project.
  • Fluent communicator in technical English, both verbal and written, including report writing and presentations.
  • Able to deliver through influence as well as authority, whilst working in a multi-cultural environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Numerate and with well-developed analytical capability.
