Job Accountabilities:

  • maintain oil and gas condensate production, e.g., through the use of artificial lift (gas lift, ESP) and appropriate well interventions (reservoir stimulations, workovers) to maximize recovery while maintaining economic viability
  • evaluating the remaining hydrocarbon potential of the field and recommending development wells, production forecasting and resources assessments
  • leading the planning and execution of well drilling, including definition and oversight of data gathering programs from drilling operations
  • assessing the Company's hydrocarbon reserves and their economics, conduct reserves/resources certification study (PRMS standard), through third party consultants
  • leading and carrying out subsurface reservoir analytical studies and assessments, and presenting the results of studies to various parties
  • participate in the preparation of RoK project documents (mainly RoK Field Development Plans)
  • evaluating technical opportunities in M&A (technical due-diligence)
  • developing of subsurface field development concepts for new acquisitions and economic assessment of integrated development projects, leading and carrying out subsurface field development planning
  • compiling performance ranges and uncertainty analysis models to facilitate full-field production forecasting, decisions analysis, economic analyses
  • using specialized reservoir engineering and simulation software (TNav, Saphir, and Petex) developing high quality reservoir models to technically support the investments proposed for the assets.

 

Qualification requirements:

  • university degree (Msc. or higher) in Petroleum Engineering
  • professional experience 10+ years in reservoir engineering positions, ideally with team lead experience in reservoir management
  • effective interpersonal communication (language requirements: English fluent, verbal and written, Russian recommended); ability to lead multidisciplinary teams & projects and delivery quality work on time and in budget
  • expert knowledge in classical reservoir and production engineering methods, reservoir modeling and simulation, uncertainty analysis, field development planning, reserves/resources determination and classification, economics
  • strong Operational reservoir engineering with extensive experience of production optimization
  • understand hydrocarbon-related geophysics, geology (i.a. structural, carbonate and clastics sedimentology), petrophysics (well e-logs, open and cased hole), subsurface data acquisition (e.g. PLT)
  • broad understanding of subsurface and ability to work independently across full spectrum of sub disciplines
  • knowledge of and experience in implementation of industry-standard subsurface workflows from data acquisition to production forecasting and monitoring
  • deep understanding of uncertainty management workflows
  • proven commercial understanding of oilfield lifecycle.

 

Condition:

4 weeks on x 4 weeks off, work place in company headoffice in Uralsk, regular field visits to company sites of activities required, readiness for travels to other NOG entities required
