Job Accountabilities:

·         Develop Health policies (Health Strategy, Occupational Health Plan, Emergency Policy, Medivac Plan etc) in accordance with international oil industry standards and RoK laws.

·         Provide medical emergency cover, including arrangement of medical evacuation if necessary and liaison with evacuation providers and medical specialists in countries outside Kazakhstan.  Must be prepared to travel to the site of the emergency including offshore, on vessels or drilling rig, and which may require emergency access to the location by helicopter winch.

·         Monitor the implementation of all Health related policies within the Company and also with the Contractor(s).

·         In conjunction with the Occupational hygienist, ensure that regular Health Risk Analysis (HRA) is performed in all operations controlling risks to as low a level as reasonably possible.

·         Liaise with RoK authorities and local health institutions in all health related domains.

·         Ensure that the medical aspects of RoK employment legislation are undertaken rigorously.

·         Provide management information (key HS&E performance indicators) and regular written reports to Management and Shareholders for all activities associated with health.

·         Review the health aspects of HSE Cases that are presented for contracts.

·         Implement audit recommendations related to health.

·         Responsible for administration of contract for, and supervision of, Paramedics present at  operation sites (at present one back to back position).

·         Provide medical cover (general and emergency) for expatriate staff and contractors at the Atyrau location, and first line medical assistance for National Staff.

·         Responsible for administration of contract for medical services provider for National Staff  which is a staff benefit provided by Human Resources department

·         Organize appropriate medical facilities at all sites (includes providing appropriate equipment and drugs, re-ordering and upkeep of drug stocks etc.)

Qualification & Experience  Requirements:

·         Fully qualified from internationally recognized Medical University, with an unrestricted licence to practice Medicine in country of origin, and up to date Advanced Trauma Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.

·         Minimum of at least 8-10 years clinical experience (covering at least 4 different clinical specialties – minimum of six month each), and at least two years experience in Occupational Health

Required Competences:

·         Broad General Medical experience covering a wide range of clinical specialties.

·         Extensive experience in emergency situations, including stabilization techniques and medical evacuation arrangements.

·         Ability to act independently and experience of practicing medicine in remote locations.

·         Good communication skills; proficiency in written and spoken English essential.

·         Computer literacy (including Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Power Point)
