Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or Master degree in Geographic Information System or relative disciplines such as Geodesy &Cartography, Geography, Earth Sciences
• Up to 5 years discipline or relevant industry experience post qualification
• Professional GIS experience with extensive working knowledge of ESRI applications: Arc GIS Desktop, Arc GIS Server, Arc GIS Portal and Arc GIS Online and Remote Sensing applications like ERDAS IMAGINE or ENVI
• Experience of standards usage and applications (ISO, IOGP, UKOOA, etc…) Knowledgeable in exploration, development and engineering data workflows
• Knowledge of IOGP data models like SSDM, APDM and LSDM
• Experience in data acquisition and quality control
• Experience with remote sensing data and services
• Knowledge of E&P business processes
• Able to lead continuous improvement Geospatial Information and Data lifecycle for data quality processes
• Experienced working with data manipulation tools, preferably FME (Feature Manipulation Engine)
• Establish business requirements and scope of remote sensing project in collaboration with customer and in line with latest remote sensing technology and standards.
• Understanding the main concept of remote sensing data to the project
• Understanding of IM/ IT systems, such as Oracle, Electronic Data Management System or other relevant to Geo-Information Management data bases
• The knowledge of Company and Project business languages: fluent English and good spoken/ written knowledge of Kazakh and Russian languages

Responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate GIS application with other Company IM portfolio
• Collaborate with Application support on GIS licenses including annual Maintenance & Support renewals and implementing new software package including evaluation summaries and business justification cases for new software
• Expert application support & advice on various systems, and software such as ArcGIS, FME, VGP, etc.
• Be responsible for the Quality and Performance of GIS system and service delivery to the company
• Communicate with the Business on the latest releases, announcements, useful tips, writing workflows and guides, sharing them across the whole community
• Be responsible for developing the GI Application and Data Management Strategy for the Company GIS community, ensuring Technical Excellence is maintained
• Interfaces with inside and outside technology companies, and retain familiarity with state-of-the-art applications and development options
• Promote GIS support in the business by building and maintaining the relationship with key user groups
• Maintain the geodetic integrity of data.
• Manage the web map application and develop a new map services to the GIS web portal

Arrange GIS/CAD support to internal Company teams by focusing on:

- Map Production and Cartography

- Geo-spatial data analysis - Auto CAD support - Provision of Remote Sensing services

• Provide “Front –desk” services to Company customers focusing on mapping & cartography
• Assure “Back-office” Geo-information management processes (quality control, processing, and analysis) around geo-spatial data
• Implement the group standard data models particularly SSDM (Seabed Survey Data Model) , LSDM (Land Survey Data Model) and APDM (ArcGIS Pipeline Data Model), within the organization ArcGIS environment
• Mentor and develop junior staff, and provision of structured advice to other non-technical Company users.
• Involve and support Geomatics/Geo-Information Management pre-award and post-award contracting processes
• Prepare clear and regular reports, procedures, guidelines and workflows
• Gather, analyze, and integrate geo-spatial data required for the organization and determine how the best information can be displayed using GIS.
