Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Advanced professional-level engineering work 3 years of relevant experience
Experience in pressure equipment maintenance and inspection
An understanding of Risk Based Inspection regimes (RBI) their application and development
In addition to the technical competence framework for the position:

Computer literate and be able to prepare reports electronically

Responsibilities:

Carrying out inspection of equipment in accordance with the requirements of RBI as defined in the Written Schemes of Examination as well as International and National codes.
Reviewing results of equipment inspections, and make specific recommendations related to any necessary remedial repairs or replacements.
Maintain Inspection reports and records and issue a monthly report that details work completed and any outstanding or overdue Inspections.
Perform all inspections in accordance with Company Procedures.
Ensure all inspection results are up loaded onto the Inspection Database (CIMS)
Ensure all inspection results are notified in CMMS
Advise line supervision and management on limiting condition of service to which items of equipment may be subjected.
Establishing and maintaining open communication with operations team members regarding equipment condition that could affect safety or integrity.
Verifying that repairs or modifications to equipment are carried out to the specified design.
Issue a detailed Inspection report, that records items inspected and any parts of an item not inspected.
Collect pressure equipment passports, manuals, instructions and other mandatory documents required for registration;
Maintain the overall Company Register of pressure equipment ;
Look after the pressure equipment acceptance, storage, preservation and further installation during the construction in accordance with the project specifications, vendors instructions and GGTN Vessel Regulations;
Ensure the quality of pressure equipment installation, hook up and commissioning and accept for further operation.
Check proper timing, quality and readiness of pressure equipment for technical inspection.
Review identified violations of rules, codes, instructions, regulations etc. after every overall inspection of pressure equipment; interview the GGTN officer, managers, supervisors and technical staff of departments, workshops and services, operators and maintenance staff; identify causes that prevent them from following the GGTN Vessel Regulations;
Control implementation of his own citations issued to managers and supervisors of departments, workshops and services, GGTN officers on a regular basis, and implementation of citations and directions (resolutions, written orders, emergency memoranda, recommendations, etc.) issued by GGTN agencies;
Participate in development of inspection procedures and schedules.
