·         Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a nurse, preferably with working experience on a remote site or in an industrial setting .Oil & gas / construction industry experience would be a strong bonus;

·         Qualified as a Registered Nurse  in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

·         Experience in trauma, routine treatments and occupational health;

·         Secretarial/administrative experience may compensate for lack of  nursing experience;

·         Will obtain and maintain RoK Alcohol testing licence and be familiar with the legislation governing such testing;
Required Competences:

The job holder must have proven:

·         Computer literacy –  Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook;

·         Effective communication skills, be diplomatic and sensitive to the needs of others;

·         Effective English  language skills;

·         Familiarity with basic principles of hygiene and infection control;

·         Familiarity with basic food hygiene practices.


·         Providing general nursing support to the doctors, e.g. assisting, observations, administering medicines etc.;

·         Providing general reception duties, e.g. log keeping, the maintenance of patient records and completion of observation charts;

·         Maintain and ensure the confidentiality of patient records

·         Providing, under the doctor’s supervision care to patients in the case of hospitalization or admission for observation;

·         Maintaining a good working knowledge of all emergency equipment;

·         Carrying out weekly and monthly checks of emergency equipment;

·         Performing routine clinical procedures such as drawing blood for biochemical tests or performing urinalysis;

·         Maintaining the emergency and observations rooms in a well-stocked and tidy state;

·         Providing administrative support in the form of medical stock control and inventory keeping;

·         Actively participating in ongoing medical education and training;

·         Providing medical escort duties (if required) from the site to the next level of care;

·         Being a team member of the site emergency response team;

·         Undertaking alcohol screening or testing as specified in Company policies and procedures;

·         Working with management, supervisors, safety Officers and all personnel in proactive promotion of all matters related to the health and well being of Company employees and their contractors. This is to include attendance of site safety meetings with consequent input into presentations, projects and discussion. Supporting  any company-wide health promotion program;

·         Carrying out any other duties as requested by the Medical Team Lead, Head of Medical Services or his designate, consistent with normal medical / clinical practice or for administrative reasons;

·         Compile, together with doctors, weekly activity and statistical report to Medical Services Team Lead EW.
