Brief Description of Roles & Responsibilities:
Early identification of issues and for early identification of any events leading to cost increase in implementation of the project, such as timely provision of possession of site to contractor(s), managing efforts of the Construction supervision consultant in design reviews and undertaking timely actions to mitigate any inconsistencies in designs and contract proposing mitigation or preventive measures in all aspects of the scope of work related to civil works under project; road engineers will assist the Project Director in early identification of issues potentially leading to claims and increase of costs (especially in civil works contracts) by means of proper management of the Construction Supervision Consultant and personal reviews of contracts’ progress. Special attention will be given to claim/dispute resolution activities related to prevention of delays, possibly caused by right of way issues (if any), deficiencies in designs (if any), technical specifications and others. The role of the Road Engineers will be critical in assisting Project Director for approval of variation orders and advisory role on potentially expected or actual claims.
Years of experience in any specific area, industry, company, type of project:

have at least 5 years’ experience in road field and minimum 3 projects financed by international financial institutions.
(E.g., Lower Diploma, Diploma, Bachelor, Master, Above Master)
Education in road engineering, civil engineering, transport engineering
Languages known: English - Upper - intermediate
Location: Astana, trips to Almaty
