Requirements:

Engineering degree or engineering-economical.
6-8 years’ experience in a technical and/or business role – sub surface, reservoir or production operations, business.
Understand concepts related to oil and gas operations and can translate and apply concepts to practical situations.
Required Competences:
Understands cost breakdowns and cost/value drivers (both during operations & construction) in the upstream oil and gas industry.
Keen eye for developments in the external environment related to oil and gas.
Able to quickly see connections and make sense of emerging trends with regard to value in the venture.
Able to concisely and effectively communicate ideas to senior management with regard to Business Case proposals.
Able to stand own ground when it comes to area of expertise.
Understand the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate Business Proposals Management process to screen projects and initiatives for value.
Ensure all business cases reviewed and properly written, linked to long term plans of Company and interdependencies with other directorates.
Facilitate critical thinking around alternative scenarios and potential opportunities for each business case.
Drive Risk analysis and ensure critical items included into economic evaluation.
Review technical aspects of Project Initiation Notes (PINs) / Potential Change Notices (PCNs) / Investment Proposals (IPs).
Ensures PINs/PCNs/IPs are in line with approved annual and multiyear budgets and business plans.
Track progress of approved PINs/IPs in terms of work scope completed and amount spent.
Ensure alignment of the PIN/IP process with PCN Integrated Decision Panel process.
Coach employees on the Business Proposal Management process and advise on the timeline for submitting PINs/IPs.
Maintain the database for submitted and approved PINs/PCNs/IPs.
Liaise with FD Cost Optimization and Process Efficiency (COPE) team on potential savings that may arise from each business case.
Provide all required information and updates to the Head of Economics for further ranking and approving PINs/IPs.
Perform miscellaneous job related to the Department activities as assigned by supervisor and as required.
